Signage service
Large-format building and facade signage with the structural engineering to match — legible from a distance, compliant with authority rules and built to survive Gulf summers. Designed, built and installed for Dubai visibility and a brand-fit finish.

Building Signage
When a brand name sits high on a tower or spans a facade, it stops being mere signage and becomes part of the skyline. Large-format building and facade signage carries weight, literally and reputationally, and it demands the structural engineering to match. Aura Signs designs, fabricates and installs building identity for developers, corporates and landlords who want their name read clearly from a distance and approved correctly the first time.
Two things make or break a building sign, and most suppliers are only good at one. The sign has to be legible from a distance and approved by the right authorities, and we handle both the visibility and the compliance so you are not stuck choosing between a sign that looks right and a sign that is allowed. Getting either wrong is expensive, so we treat them as a single, integrated brief from day one.
At facade scale, the engineering behind the sign matters as much as its face. We build with fabricated aluminium and steel sub-frames for strength, illuminated channel letters for high-impact identity, ACP cladding and panels for clean large surfaces, and high-output, weather-sealed LEDs that stay bright and survive the elements. Everything is specified for wind load, heat and the long-term realities of life on the outside of a UAE building.
This is signage for landmarks and major premises, and the applications tend to be high-visibility by nature:
A sign read from across a junction or from a fast-moving carriageway follows different rules to a shopfront. Letter heights, stroke weights and contrast all have to be scaled to the genuine viewing distance, and lighting has to be powerful yet controlled so the name reads cleanly at night without glare. We calculate these factors rather than guess them, so your identity lands as intended from every approach.
Facade and rooftop signage almost always requires authority and landlord approval, and the requirements are detailed. We prepare the drawings, specifications and visuals these submissions demand, and we coordinate so fabrication aligns with the approval timeline. This experience is one of the main reasons developers trust us, because a non-compliant sign on a tower is not a small problem to fix.
Aura Signs designs, engineers, fabricates and installs in-house, which on a building project is genuinely reassuring. There is one team responsible for the structure, the illumination and the safe installation at height, rather than a chain of subcontractors passing risk between them. That accountability is why we are trusted with high-profile commercial signage and branding across the UAE.
We start with a survey and a study of the facade, the structure and the approvals required. After design and engineering sign-off, we fabricate the sub-frame, letters and panels in our workshop and pre-test the illumination. Installation is planned carefully, with the right access equipment and safety measures, and scheduled to minimise disruption to a working building.
Our base is Office 116, Naif Bazaar Building, Deira, Dubai, and we deliver building signage nationwide. Tower identity in Dubai, hospital and mall signage in Sharjah or Ajman, corporate headquarters in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain, and development branding in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah or Umm Al Quwain are all within our capability.
Building signage is always quoted on specifics, because size, structure, illumination, access and approvals vary enormously from one project to the next. We survey the site, scope the engineering honestly, and provide a detailed quotation so you can plan the investment with confidence.
If your building deserves an identity that reads clearly and passes approval cleanly, let us scope it with you. Call Aura Signs on 0547255271 or email aaurasigns@gmail.com to arrange a survey and a full quotation for facade or rooftop signage.
Building signage is large-format identity installed on the exterior of towers, malls, hospitals and corporate headquarters, designed to be read from hundreds of metres away and to withstand the structural demands of height and wind. It includes rooftop signs, parapet lettering, facade-mounted logos and illuminated identities that turn a building into a landmark. At Aura Signs we engineer, fabricate and install building signage for developers and corporate clients who need their name to dominate the skyline.
Building signage is for property owners, developers and corporate tenants who control or lease significant exterior real estate. If you are branding a new tower in Business Bay, a hospital in Sharjah, a university campus or a mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi, large-scale identity is essential. It is also for national franchises and government entities that need consistent, compliant signage across multiple owned buildings.
At scale, material performance becomes critical. We fabricate sub-frames from galvanised steel and structural aluminium that carry wind-load calculations for UAE conditions. Channel letters are built from powder-coated aluminium with acrylic or polycarbonate faces, sealed against dust and moisture. LED arrays are high-output, weather-sealed modules with drivers housed in IP-rated enclosures. Large panel faces use aluminium composite cladding with anti-UV coatings to prevent chalking. All fixings are marine-grade or hot-dip galvanised, and every joint is sealed with silicone to stop sand infiltration during shamal winds.
We begin with a full site survey including facade access, structural anchor points and power availability. Our engineers then prepare load calculations and approval drawings for the landlord or municipality. After design and engineering sign-off, we fabricate the sign in sections at our workshop, pre-assemble the LED arrays and test illumination levels. On site, we mobilise certified access equipment, install the sub-frame with structural anchors, mount the letters or panels, connect electrics through armoured conduit, and commission the lighting at dusk to confirm even output. We leave with a full photographic record and a maintenance access plan.
Inspect the sign every three months from ground level or with a drone for any loosened fixings or face damage. Clean the faces twice yearly with deionised water and a soft brush to remove salt and sand deposits. Test emergency isolation switches annually, and replace LED drivers at the first sign of flickering. After severe weather, check seals and gaskets for cracks. We offer maintenance contracts for high-rise signs where owner access is difficult, so you never have to send staff up a ladder.
Do not design for aesthetics alone without engineering; a beautiful sign that fails a wind-load check will be ordered down. Avoid cheap, unsealed LEDs that fail within one Dubai summer. Never skip authority approval; rooftop and facade signs almost always need permits, and fines or removal orders are costly. Do not underestimate viewing distance; letters that look fine on paper can disappear from a car on Sheikh Zayed Road. Finally, do not use subcontractors for every stage; blame-shifting between designer, fabricator and installer is common and expensive.
Structural engineering and approval drawings are a significant part of the budget on large builds. Material choice matters; stainless steel and copper finishes cost more than powder-coated aluminium. Illumination type, whether front-lit, back-lit or unlit, changes both fixture and running costs. Access equipment such as cranes, cherry pickers or abseiling teams adds to installation day rates. Ongoing maintenance access, especially on towers, should be factored in from the start. Quantity across a multi-building estate brings economies of scale.
We are one of the few Dubai studios that genuinely handles large-format building signage end to end, from structural engineering to safe installation at height. Our team knows the approval landscape across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, and we fabricate to standards that satisfy both landlords and structural consultants. We show up with the right access equipment, the right certifications and the right attitude. That is why developers and facilities managers keep us on their vendor lists year after year.

Good to know
The price of building signage depends on size, materials, illumination and installation complexity, so we quote per project. A small, simple piece might start in the hundreds of dirhams, while large illuminated or building-scale work can reach several thousand. The key factors are the amount of material used, the finish you choose, whether lighting is included, and how complex the installation is. Send us your dimensions, location and a reference image and we'll return a clear, itemised quote — usually within one business day — that breaks down design, materials, fabrication, illumination and installation so you can see exactly where your money goes.
Simple building signage pieces can be ready within five to seven working days of artwork approval, while larger or illuminated work takes two to four weeks depending on fabrication complexity and site access. Building signage and projects requiring authority approvals take longer because of the documentation and review process. We always confirm a realistic timeline in your quote, not an optimistic one, and we keep you updated through fabrication so you know exactly where your project stands.
We do both, and we strongly recommend our installation service because proper mounting is critical to both appearance and longevity. Aura Signs designs, fabricates and professionally installs building signage across Dubai and the UAE. Our installers handle access, levelling, electrical connection and clean-up, and they understand how to mount different materials on different surfaces — concrete, glass, cladding, drywall — without damaging the building or compromising the sign. A poorly installed sign can sag, warp or fail prematurely regardless of how well it was built.
Yes, when it is specified correctly for the local climate. The UAE presents unique challenges: extreme heat, intense UV, humidity near the coast, fine dust and occasional sandstorms. We use UV-stable, weather-rated materials and marine-grade fixings as standard so your building signage holds up to these conditions for years. The exact specification depends on your location — a seafront sign in JBR faces different stresses from an inland sign in Al Quoz — and we engineer accordingly.
Definitely. We work from your logo files, brand guidelines, colour references and existing signage to make sure your building signage is fully on-brand and consistent. We can match Pantone or RAL colours, replicate specific typefaces, and recreate the proportions and finishes of signs you already have. This is especially important for multi-branch rollouts where every location needs to look identical. We document every specification so future work matches perfectly.
Maintenance depends on the type of building signage and its location. Outdoor signs in direct sun benefit from an annual inspection to check for fading, fixings and seal integrity. Illuminated signs should have LED modules and drivers checked periodically to catch failures before they become visible. We offer maintenance packages that include scheduled inspections, cleaning, LED replacement and face refreshes. Because we built the sign, we know exactly what components were used and can service it accurately without guesswork.
